The Contest aims to:
- heighten among Filipino students their interest in and love for what makes the Filipino, Filipino;
- inspire them to develop a solid love of country;
- reduce "brain drain” or colonial mentality among the citizentry; and
- instill positive values and develop the writing skills of the students in expressing themselves.
The target participants to this activity are the high school and college students from both public and private schools nationwide.
Participation of both public and private schools shall be subject to the no-disruption-of-classes policy as stipulated in DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 entitled Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith.
