The Philippine Military Academy (PMA) announces its annual PMA Entrance
Examination (PMAEE) on August 28, 2011 at the different examination
centers nationwide.
The PMA is offering full tertiary scholarship to deserving Filipino youth who desire to serve the country through the military profession. As full government scholars, the PMA cadets enjoy a well-rounded quality education and receive salary and allowances higher than a senior soldier (Enlisted Personnel) of the AFP while studying. After graduation, the PMAers are guaranteed with jobs and they are commissioned as regular officers in the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP). To become a PMA Cadet, the applicant must possess the following requirements: - natural born Filipino citizen;
- physically fit and of good moral character;
- single and have never been married;
- minimum height requirement - 5'4" for male; 5'2" for female (but not to exceed 6'4" for both);
- at least high school graduate with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 85% or higher (for 4th year high school students, 3rd year GPA of 85% or higher); and
- at least seventeen (17) years old but not a day older than twenty-two (22) years old on April 1 of the year following the date of examination taken (born on or after April 1, 1990 and on or before April 1, 1995).
The applicant who is sixteen (16) years old may apply for PMA cadetship provided that he/she possesses the specified qualifications. Should the applicants passed the qualifying examination, the validity of the result of the examination will be good for two (2) years.
