The University of the Philippines-Department of English and Comparative
Literature (UP-DECL) will conduct the Conference on Language Teaching:
Issues and Concerns on September 15-17, 2011 at SMX Convention Center,
Mall of Asia (MOA), Pasay City.
The conference aims to provide the teachers a deeper understanding of the issues and concerns in language teaching. The conference will focus on the following topics: - Mother Tongue-Based Multilingual Education (MTB-MLE);
- English Language (EL) Teaching Strategies;
- Varieties of English (e.g., Philippine English);
- Testing and Assessment;
- Literature in the Language Classroom;
- Computer-Assisted Language Learning;
- Research Strategies; and
- Literary Approaches.
