The Quiz Bee Foundation in cooperation with the Office of the President (OP), Department of Education (DepEd), Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) will hold the 33rd National Quiz Bee from December 1, 2012 to March 25, 2013.
There will be multi-level elimination rounds, before the National Grand Finals. The schedule of the nationwide elimination is as follows:

| E. Summit of the Super Quiz Bee | March 15-17, 2013 |
| F. National Grand Finals | March 16, 2013 |
Any student enrolled in the present school year from any public or private school in the country with an academic grade point average of 85%, its equivalent or higher, that falls in the following can join in the competition:

Participation of both public and private schools shall be subject to the no-disruption-of-classes policy as stipulated in DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 entitled Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith.
