The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) launched the youth-oriented Essay-Writing Competition with the theme "Angry Fish! Heeding the Call for the Conservation, and Protection of the Endangered and Threatened Fish Species.”
The competition aims to: - promote awareness on endangered and threatened aquatic species in the country; and
- encourage active efforts on conservation and protection with the youth sector as the main pillar of action.
The competition is open to all enrolled students from both public and private secondary schools across the country. It has two levels: regional-to select the top three (3) entries that will compete for the national grand awards. Thus, at the regional level, the BFAR regional officers in collaboration with the DepEd regional counterpart would be working hand in hand.
