The BioCamp aims to awaken the students’ passion for the study of life science, specifically the environment and biodiversity, and to promote camaraderie among students both from public and private schools.
Throughout the event, the students (50 teams, five students each team) will be attending and participating in activities such as, but not limited to, seminars, laboratory experiments, a quiz bee, poster-making contests, forums, exhibits and an Amazing Race to cultivate their interest in and appreciation for the life sciences. These activities will be held in order for the students to have a fuller experience and more avenues to learn about diversity and to enable them to express their own ideas and knowledge about it and the life sciences.
The target participants to this activity are selected students from both public and private secondary schools of the said regions.
Participation of both public and private schools shall be subject to the no-disruption-of-classes policy as stipulated in DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 entitled Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance The rewuith.
