The Ateneo Chemistry Society (ACheS) from the Ateneo de Manila
University (AdMU) will conduct the Ateneo Chemistry Olympiad 2014 (AChO
2014) on January 11, 2014 at the Escaler Hall (SEC A 125 A), AdMU,
Loyola Heights, Quezon City.
The Contest aims to: - stimulate the student-participants’ interest in Chemistry;
- increase social awareness among them by integrating social applications of Chemistry in a high school competition; and
- promote the appreciation of chemistry among students and teachers.
The target participants to this activity are students and teachers from both public and private schools from National Capital Region (NCR) and nearby schools of Bulacan, Cavite, Rizal, Batangas, Pampanga and Laguna. Participation of both public and private schools shall be subject to the no-disruption-of-classes policy as stipulated in DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 entitled Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith.
