The Philippine Historical Association (PHA) will hold its 2011 National
Conference with the theme " History and the Other Social Sciences" on
September 15-16, 2011 at the Conference Hall of the National Historical
Commission of the Philippines (NHCP), T.M. Kalaw Street, Ermita, Manila.
The conference aims to: - enable the participants use the other social sciences more effectively in teaching history;
- encourage them to use measures of student achievement in the classroom with preference on the higher order of thinking; and
- share/exchange their insights and experiences in the teaching of history.
The target participants are the History professors and Social Studies teachers. A registration fee of Two Thousand Five Hundred Pesos (PhP2,500.00) will be charged to each participant which covers lunch, snacks and kit.
