The Government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) announces the Zayed Future Energy Prize.
The Prize aims to recognize not only achievement but also to provide support to help accelerate promising technologies and fund organizations, schools and individuals committed to impacting communities around the world.
In line with ensuring that the Prize remains flexible enough to reflect the industry and its growth, the award categories are the following:
1. Large Corporation (A recognition award);
2. Small and Medium Sized Enterprise (SME) (US$1.5 Million);
3. Non-governmental Organization (NGO) (US$1.5 Million);
4. Lifetime Achievement Award (US$500,000); and
5. Global High School Prize (US$500,000 divided amongst five regions: the Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa and Oceania – with US$100,000 awarded to one High School from each region).
Nominations may be submitted through the UAE Embassy in Manila. The deadline for submission of entries is on August 5, 2013.
