First National Summit on Alternative Delivery Modes (ADMs) of Education

The Department of Education (DepEd) through the Bureau of Elementary Education (BEE), in cooperation with the United Nations Children's Funds (UNICEF) and the National Association of Chiefs and Assistant Chiefs of Elementary Education (NACACEE) will hold the "First National Summit on Alternative Delivery Modes (ADMs) of Education" on December 12-13, 2011 at the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), Tagaytay City.
With the theme, "Providing Options Where the Conventional Fall Short," the summit aims to:
  1. share best practices by selected implementers in the implementation of the existing ADMs in the country;
  2. enhance the participants' awareness on the different ADMs implemented in both public and private schools with focus on target clienteles, contents and processes including assessment; and
  3. apprise them on the results of evaluation on the implementation of the different ADMs.
The participants to the summit are the regional directors (RDs) and/or assistant regional directors (ARDs), schools division/city superintendents (SDSs) and/or asssistant schools division/city superintendents (ASDSs), regional and division ADMs coordinators, district supervisors, and school heads. Interested private school officials are also encouraged to participate.

Each participant shall pay Four Thousand Pesos (PhP4,000.00) as registration fee to cover expenses for board and lodging for two (2) days, kit, handouts, supplies and materials and professional fees/honoraria of speakers, resource persons, consultants and facilitators. The first meal to be served is dinner on December 11 and the last meal is p.m. snacks on December 13, 2011.

Travel expenses including registration fees of the DepEd participants except those listed in Enclosure No. 2 shall be charged to local funds subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations. The participants from the private sector shall make the necessary arrangements with their respective institutions.

  1. Enclosure No. 1 - Program of Activities;
  2. Enclosure No. 2 - List of Participants with expenses shouldered by UNICEF; and
  3. Enclosure No. 3 - Registration Form.
