Cloud Cadets Are Needed by Globe and Yondu
"""Technology has become an important component of our daily lives. There is always something that can be upgraded or made better, and there are more opportunities than ever before for new innovations. As the Industrial Revolution 4.0 enters the Philippines, these opportunities call for enthusiastic and driven individuals to lead the change. com-box-3','ezslot_4',183,,_('div-gpt-ad-_com-box-3-0');
The Accelerated Cloud Cadetship Enablement Program (AC2E) was developed by Globe and Yondu in response to this requirement. Globe's Chief Information Officer, Pebbles Manalang, stated, ""We are giving the next generation of IT professionals the opportunity to be exposed to Cloud Technology at a young age with the AC2E program.""
Globe and Yondu are launching this initiative to ensure that the Philippines can supply the talent required to succeed in the upcoming industrial revolution because they are aware that cloud technology will be an essential enabler of IR4.0. com-medrectangle-3','ezslot_5',191,,_('div-gpt-ad-_com-medrectangle-3-0');
It is important to recall that Dr. Jose Ramon Albert, Senior Research Fellow at the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS), stated during his presentation at the recently concluded IR4.0 Summit that individuals, businesses, and the government all need to adjust to the disruption that IR4.0 will cause. Training the workforce in the new skills that will be required to prepare for the future is part of adapting to IR4.0.

An Overview of the AC2E Program The AC2E program is a cloud capability build program that provides aspiring young IT professionals with a comprehensive technical and professional development plan for seven months.
This first-of-its-kind premier program aims to produce 25 highly skilled cloud practitioners who are ready for deployment and the future. It will begin in November and run through December with a series of events. From January 2020 through August 2020, the program's official start and onboarding will take place.300,250],'_com-medrectangle-4','ezslot_6',192,,_('div-gpt-ad-_com-medrectangle-4-0');
Eligibility: This program is open to recent graduates (those who graduated after March 2018) who have completed a two- or four-year associate or bachelor's degree program in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or other STEM fields. Most importantly, potential applicants should be eager to learn, extremely curious, willing to work in a team, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
An online technical assessment will be taken by all qualified applicants to assess their technical competence. 100 qualified candidates will be selected for paper screening from all applicants who take the assessment. The 50 finalists will be chosen. The top 50 will attend a workshop lasting two days. From there, the top 30 will continue with HR evaluation and final decisions.
Yondu Inc. will hire selected applicants as probationary employees with competitive pay. For the duration of the program, they will report to the Globe office in BGC, Taguig.
A temporary relocation package will be provided to regional hires for the duration of the program. '_com-box-4','ezslot_7',193,,_('div-gpt-ad-_com-box-4-0');
A confirmation email and SMS will be sent to those who pass the selection process.
What Cadets Can Expect from the AC2E Program The program is exciting, intense, and rigorous. Through learning sessions and immersions, they will improve their leadership and professional skills as well as their technical skills. They will also receive guidance and instruction from a group of IT industry professionals. The cadets will be able to work for a high-performing company at the conclusion of the program and earn certifications in a variety of cloud platforms.
In order to give the cadets enough time to be introduced to Globe and Information Systems Group (ISG), onboarding will take place for two weeks. They will also receive additional useful information during this time that they will use throughout their journey.
The cadets will develop their skills and competencies in five major areas, or ""stints,"" over the course of six months. Immersions and mentoring sessions will be used to accomplish this. The cadets will go through a revalida at the end of each stint, where they will be tested on their newfound knowledge, abilities, and competencies. After each track, certifications will also be awarded. 300,250], ""_com-banner-1,"");
The cadets will be given a Capstone Project to complete the program. They will work in groups of three or two, and they will have three weeks to use the cloud knowledge and skills they've gained to create a proof of concept (POC). After that, an expert panel will receive this.
Following graduation, the cadets will be sent to their home stints based on how well they did throughout the program. For the cadets' subsequent education, additional learning sessions will be offered on cloud native and cloud security topics.
Opportunities After the Program Cadets will have access to a wide range of job opportunities following graduation, particularly in the fields of architecture, operations, development, and business. These positions include, to name a few, Enterprise Architect, Solutions Engineer, Cybersecurity Specialist, Infrastructure Operations, Application Developer, DevOps Engineer, Finance Analyst, and Cloud Finance Manager. Others include Application Developer, Finance Analyst, and Cloud Finance Manager.
The AC2E program acknowledges the significance of the Philippines' information technology sector, particularly in light of the development of digital technology. It is an excellent platform for encouraging innovation among aspirant IT professionals. Cadets will have the opportunity to learn in a fun way that will help them learn new skills and broaden their horizons.
