The Summit aims to:
- serve as a forum for understanding the various issues and problems concerning the K to 12 Program, as well as the rationale, objectives, mechanisms behind the program;
- present the updates and developments in the implementation of the Grade 11 Curriculum by identified institutions and their impact to higher education for the 21st century; and
- draw up significant strategies and measures for policy recommendation to legislative and executive bodies like the Department of Education (DepEd), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
The target participants to this activity are the presidents, school administrators, faculty members, curriculum leaders, researchers and stakeholders of all local and state colleges and universities and those from private higher education institutions, principals and teachers in high schools nationwide, and other advocates of the K to 12 Program in both public and private sectors.
Participation of both public and private schools shall be subject to the no-disruption-of-classes policy as stipulated in DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 entitled Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith.
