The University of the Philippines-College of Human Kinetics Student
Council (UP-CHK SC) will hold its annual CHK Research Forum 2011 with
the theme, " Innovations in the Philippine Education System, Sports,
Recreation and Athletics and Athletics” on October 8, 2011, at the UP
School of Labor and International Relations (UP SOLAIR) De los Reyes
Auditorium, UP Diliman, Quezon City.
The symposium aims to: - host the keynote speeches of representatives from the government and business sector in context of developments in the Philippines;
- host the presentation of complete student theses from the CHK undergraduate and graduate programs (Sports Science, Physical Education, and Human Movement Science);
- host the paper and poster presentations from other academic institutions within Luzon; and
- encourage collaborative projects among the academe, the government, and the business sector, thus promoting and concretizing the vision for advancing health and wellness in the country.
Likewise, the 4th CHK Research Symposium aims to provide a venue for advancement in the nation’s knowledge in sports science, wellness and physical education. The Philippine Olympic Committee and other branch agencies will be invited to witness the event. It will also serve as a conduit for the exchange of information among the developers of sports and fitness technology and those who study them. For more information, contact Mr. Fidel C.
