Certificate in Special Education (SPED) Program

The College of Education, Miriam College offers a Certificate in Special Education (SPED) Program starting Summer 2012 until 2nd semester of 2012-2013.
This is an eighteen (18)-unit-program or one (1) year and one (1) summer which allows students in the program to continue their Master’s course in SPED.

The following may avail the program:
  1. Parents who would like to have sufficient theoretical and practical framework of SPED which would allow them to help a member of the family who has special needs;
  2. Teachers in a general education setting;
  3. Those who are taking post-graduate studies in education (other than SPED), or those in allied professions (e.g. occupational/physical therapists, psychologists); and
  4. Those who have time or financial constraints that hinder completion of the full Master’s Program in SPED.
Interested to apply must be college graduates and must pass the Entrance Examination for the Graduate level programs of Miriam College.
