The National Library of the Philippines (NLP) extends its invitation to
schools to participate in its advocacy program on the awareness and
education on the promotion of love for books and reading in the country.
The program provides venues for elementary pupils and high school students to learn more about what the library collections are and how to use the facilities for their learning. The NLP is a place where the pupils and students are free to access a rich array of information services and resources that are convenient, accessible and relevant. As the repository of the printed and recorded cultural heritage of the country and other intellectual literary information sources, it provides access to these resources for the people's intellectual growth, citizenship building, life-long learning and enlightenment. The NLP conducts the KidsEvent program for the pupils and students like storytelling to promote reading and love for books, puppet show for recreation, arts and crafts for enjoyment, film showing, educational tour, and read aloud. The NLP may also be included in the list of places for educational tours. For more information, visit Mr. Antonio M. Santos, NLP Director at T.M.
