Heroes Square transformed various sites inside Intramuros, Manila into "encounters”/”experiences” to bring Filipino history, heritage and heroism to life. Through brief multi-sensory and multimedia presentations, students are involved as part of the encounters and not just as mere audience. These encounters include street plays and living theater-musical performances, audio-visual experiences, and other media.
It also promotes and celebrates excellence in theater and the arts by commissioning world-class Filipino actors and directors such as Anton Juan and Onyl Torres. Because of its vivifying heritage sites, Heroes Square has been recognized and accredited by the Intramuros Administration and the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) for the Rizal 150.
Heroes Square believes that bringing stories of Filipino heroism to life and celebrating Filipino heritage can enlighten people and lead them towards personal, social and national transformation.
The pupils, students, teachers and parents are invited to visit the Heroes Square located at Intramuros, Manila.
