Enclosure No. 2 contains the Application Form which can also be obtained from the Division Offices (DOs) and the BFAR Regional Offices (RDs). All applicants should file their application forms on or before February 14, 2012.
The SDSs shall forward the applications of qualified applicants through the DepEd Regional Director (RD) to the FSP Secretariat, PCA Annex Building, Elliptical Road, Diliman, Quezon City, 1101 on or before March 1, 2012.
The results of the examination shall be announced by the DA on May 2012, copy furnished the DepEd RDs.

GUIDELINES ON THE COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION FOR THE FISHERIES SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
1. High school graduates/graduating students who are Filipino citizens, certified by their respective school heads as among the Top Ten (not upper 10%) in the graduating class to which they belong, not more than 20 years old, and have not earned any units in college, are eligible to take the competitive examinations for this scholarship program. The applicants must be of good moral standing, physically fit, free from criminal, civil or administrative liability, and genuinely interested to pursue studies in fisheries.
2. The examination will include test items in Science (Biology, Chemist, and Physics), English (Grammar and Reading), Basic Fisheries and Mathematics (Applied Arithmetic, Algebra and Geometry).
3. This examination will be administered on March 17, 2012 by the Fisheries Scholarship Program Secretariat assisted by a maximum of four proctors and one coordinator designated by the DepEd Regional Director in the following testing centers:

4. The Fisheries Scholarship Program provides for school year 2012-2013, five (5) scholars per region for college studies leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Fisheries.
5. A scholar under this Program will be entitled to: a) free matriculation and other school fees: b) book allowance of P2,000 per semester; c) monthly stipend of P2,500; d) thesis; e) OJT/ practicum support and f) graduation support.
