64th Annual Convention of the Philippine Association of Nutrition, Inc.

The Philippine Association of Nutrition (PAN) Inc., will hold its 64th Annual Convention on July 7-8, 2011 at the Ilocos Norte Hotel and Convention Center, Laoag City, Ilocos Norte. With the theme "Food Security and Nutrition Security: Concepts, Strategies and Best Practices," the convention will serve as a forum for the participants to she their different perspectives on food security and nutrition security and the approaches to achieve these.

Through this convention, the PAN, in partnership with the DepEd, will help the participants to strengthen their efforts to promote the nutritional status among the Filipinos.

The participants to this convention are nutritionists and allied personnel at the national and local levels who are involved in the planning and implementing local health and nutrition programs including the barangay chairpersons, volunteer health workers, and barangay nutrition scholars.

Attendance of all nutrition and allied personnel will earn for them Continuing Professional Education (CPE) and Continuing Medical Education (CME) accreditation.

A registration fee of Three Thousand Five Hundred Pesos (PhP3,500.00) will be charged to each participant to cover expenses for the convention kit, and food for two (2) days. However, the hotel accommodation and transportation expenses are not included in the fee.
