How to Set Up a Logitech Wireless Mouse
"Those pesky wires just seem to get in the way.
Sick and tired of the limited maneuverability your mouse provides? Then maybe it is time to go to a wireless, or cordless, mouse instead. The absence of extra wires and the freedom of movement will help to stop the distractions your mouse cord gives you. Most models of Logitech wireless mice are pre-installed into the Windows operating system. However, as new technologies are developed, there may be some manual installations required by the user.

Step 1
Connect the receiver into a USB port. The receiver will gather information from the Logitech wireless mouse, and interpret the movements and commands to the computer.
Step 2
Allow Windows to add the needed device drivers. With Plug and Play technology, there are already default drivers installed that will allow the Logitech wireless mouse to work at a basic level.
Step 3
Install the additional drivers to use the added features of your Logitech wireless mouse. These drivers are not always necessary, depending on whether you are running Windows XP, Windows Vista or the Windows 7 operating system, and on the version of wireless mouse you are installing. The additional drivers will come on a CD when you purchase the mouse. If you received the mouse second-hand, then consider downloading the drivers from the Microsoft or Logitech websites.
