In April 20, 2012, hackers who claimed to be from China hacked the website of the University of the Philippines (UP). They did this to support their country's claim over the disputed South China Sea, a government official from the Philippines said.
Few minutes after UP website has been successfully hacked, the hackers presented a map in the website that showed islands in the South China Sea that are disputed by Philippines and China.
