The Campaign aims to:
- attract and increase global attention to the urgent need to end preventable deaths of children under five (5) around the world; and
- call on governments and supporters to play their part in a global movement that ensures children have access to nutritious food, clean water, and life-saving health services.
The participants shall raise their hands in solidarity, holding up five (5) fingers to indicate the crucial birthday for child survival. The participants shall say "Count me in to help children survive 5!”
Participation of both public and private schools shall be subject to the no-disruption-of-classes policy as stipulated in DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 entitled Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith.
