The activity aims to raise public awareness about cerebral palsy throughout society.
The regional directors (RDs) and heads of attached agencies are invited to support the observance of the abovementioned celebration by conducting fitting activities, such as but may not be limited to the following:
- Hanging of streamers in conspicuous places;
- Recognition of outstanding persons with cerebral palsy;
- Demonstration of sports for persons with cerebral palsy (e.g. Boccia);
- Workplace tour to companies with employees with cerebral palsy;
- Medical mission for persons with cerebral palsy;
- Family and Community Lay Forum on Cerebral Palsy; and
- Scientific Congress on Cerebral Palsy.
Participation of both public and private schools shall be subject to the no-disruption-of-classes policy as stipulated in DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 entitled "Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith.”
