The National Association of Special Educators, Inc. (NASEI) and the
Philippine Association for the Retarded (PAR) in cooperation with the
Special Education Division-Bureau of Elementary Education (SPED-BEE)
will conduct the Training on Behavior Management of Children with Autism
in the Classroom on May 14-15, 2011 at the Bulwagan ng Karunungan,
DepEd Central Office, Meralco Avenue, Pasig City.
The topics include indicators of autism, behavior modification techniques, sensory integration environment, language stimulation techniques, play and Individualized Education Program (IEP). A team of specialists and practitioners on the management of autism will handle the sessions with hands-on activities. The participants to this activity are regular and special education (SPED) teachers, administrators, therapists, parents, undergraduate and graduate students. A seminar fee of Two Thousand Pesos (PhP2,000.00) will be charged to each participant to cover meals, handouts and certificate. Pre-registration is required due to limited slots.
