In line with this, the teachers from selected elementary schools from the seventeen (17) regions (as stated in the enclosed lists) are invited to submit application forms in order to qualify as participants to the GKPC. They should have attended any of the teacher training workshops conducted by the SAS from 1999 to 2011.
The completed application forms should be submitted on or before November 10, 2011 to:
Sa Aklat Sisikat Foundation, Inc.All application forms will be reviewed by the SAS Screening Committee between November and December 2011. The announcement of selected teachers will be made in January 2012 and all successful applicants will be notified by mail. Please note that registration fees and lodging for participants from outside Metro Manila will be shouldered by the SAS. The teachers will not be asked to pay any conference expenses and will receive partial transportation subsidy.

All successful teacher-participants will be part of the Gurong Kaakbay for 2012 under the Programang Kaakbay and are therefore expected to submit Feedback Reports on a regular basis from July to September 2012. These teachers will also be visited by the SAS Project Monitors to ensure that knowledge and skills gained from the conference are being applied and at the same time, provide technical assistance to teachers on how they will be able to better implement the programs they have in their respective schools. They will also be invited to attend an enrichment workshop by the third quarter of 2012.
