The activity aims to:
- create a nationwide platform for College Y and Hi-Y members to share, discuss and reflect to the diverse issues which are affecting the young people today;
- signify the importance of responsibility, leadership, active participation and commitment to their role as the young leaders of the society;
- foster deeper understanding and appreciation of the global citizenship conceptual framework through creative presentations on how they perceive global issues;
- encourage young people to think globally and act locally;
- engage and integrate young people to YMCA works and life and to the communities; and
- organize National YMCA Youth Council of young leaders who will take the lead in implementing programs which directly affect them, their respective clubs, and their own communities.
The activity is open to youth club level (Hi-Y Level and College-Y Level). Each entry group should have at least five (5) members.
Local YMCAs are encouraged to send entry/ies to either or both divisions. Screening and selection of participants depend on the local YMCAs’ qualifications.
