The Philippine Board on Books for Young People (PBBYP) will celebrate
the National Children’s Book Day every third Tuesday of July annually.
The celebration aims to develop and improve the capabilities, proficiency and competence of teachers, librarians and students in storytelling and other special reading-related activities. For this year, the National Children’s Book Day will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2012. The PBBYP shall undertake various initiatives to promote children’s literature and reading. Hence, educators are encouraged to support to this significant endeavour.
