Kapnayan

The University of the Philippines Los Baňos (UPLB) in cooperation with the Institute of Chemistry will hold the Kapnayan 2012 with the theme "Chemistry in Health and Wellness: Equipping Young Minds for Inevitable Challenges” on November 12-17, 2012 at the UPLB Campus, College, Laguna.

The Kapnayan aims to:

expose the high school student-participants to a wide range of Chemical Education career opportunities;
provide them with the necessary knowledge in Chemistry governing the human body; and
maintain their healthy and well-balanced physique.

This activity showcases breakthroughs and advancement in Chemistry through technical exhibits, audio visual presentations, educational tours, nature trips, essay writing, extemporaneous speech, investigatory report, and poster making contests, series of seminars, chemical magic show, and the National High School Chemistry Quiz.

This triennial chemistry fair will be participated in by high school students from both public and private schools nationwide.
