The University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) Genetics Society will
hold the Genetics Camp 2014 with the theme GENEovation: Paving the Way
for Medical Improvement Through Pharmacogenomics on January 18-19, 2014
at the Institute of Biological Sciences, UPLB, Laguna.
The Camp aims to: - encourage creative appreciation of the science of Genetics and highlight its potential contributions to the advancement of the nation;
- serve as a venue for students to learn more about genetics and its background, applications and implications in the society;
- help them to acquire new knowledge in the different areas from the camp; and
A maximum of 8 secondary students and 2 teachers per school, particularly those with Biology subject in their curriculum are invited to attend this activity. Participation of both public and private schools shall be subject to the no-disruption-of-classes policy as stipulated in DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 entitled Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith.
