International Conference on Libraries, Archives and Museums (i-clams)

The Center for Human Research and Development Foundation (CHRDF), Inc. in cooperation with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) will hold the International Conference on Libraries, Archives and Museums (i-clams) with the theme, "Integrating Access to Resources in Libraries, Archives and Museums (LAMs) Across Institutional Boundaries and Categories of Information" on August 29-30, 2011 at the CSB Hotel, Arellano cor. Estrada St., Mate, Manila. The conference aims to:

1. serve as a forum for the exchange of views, ideas, experiences on the management of libraries, archives and museums;
2. present existing structural mark-up standards to describe manuscript and pictorial collections in libraries, art museum collections, government and university archives;
3. embark on collaborative cultural programs with other types of memory institutions in the shared network space created by the web; and
4. discuss ways to hasten the search for cultural information in the Asia-Pacific region across institutional boundaries and across categories of information resources that have been separated by tradition.
   

The participants to this activity are the librarians, documentalists, archivists, museum curators, records officers, academicians, managers, directors and educators.

The registration fee, which will be charged to each participant will cover the certificates of participation and appearance, seminar kit with handouts, snacks and lunch for two (2) days, is as follows:
