The Seminar aims to:
- serve as venue to discuss with the participants the spectrum of giftedness and on going trends, issues and experiences in the Philippines and other neighboring countries on the issue of twice exceptional;
- enhance the educator’s ability and other professionals to address the individual needs of gifted students with disabilities; and
- provide them with knowledge on how to identify gifted students who have subtle disabilities.
The target participants to this activity are principals/school administrators, guidance counselors, regular classroom teachers, special education (SPED) teachers, teacher aides, psychologists, occupational and speech therapists, related services professionals, parents and students from both public and private elementary and secondary schools.
Participation of both public and private schools shall be subject to the no-disruption-of-classes policy as stipulated in DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 entitled "Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith.”
