The Conference aims to orient the participants on the implementing guidelines of the K to 12 Program Phase 1 through SBM. Specifically, its objectives are to:
- update the participants on Republic Act (RA) No. 10157 entitled "An Act Institutionalizing the Kindergarten Education Into the Basic Education System and Appropriating Funds Therefor" and other policies and guidelines on the implementation of Kindergarten Education;
- familiarize them on the features of the Grade 1 Curriculum; and
- discuss the challenges on the implementation of elementary programs and projects.
The participants to this activity are the thirty-four (34) chiefs and assistant chiefs of the Elementary Education Divisions (EEDs) in the regions and the BEE, OIC Director IV and selected Education Program Specialists (EPSs) from the Bureau. Attendance to this activity is on official business. Please see Enclosure No. 1 for the List of Participants and Enclosure No. 2 for the Program of Activities.
The participants are required to bring their highlights of accomplishments of elementary programs and projects using the form contained in Enclosure No. 3.
Each participant shall be charged a registration fee of Seven Thousand Pesos (PhP7,000.00) to cover expenses for board and lodging and conference materials. The traveling expenses and registration fee of the BEE participants shall be charged to the Bureau Project Funds while those of the field participants shall be charged to local funds through SBM support funds subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.
