56th National Conference of Chiefs and Assistant Chiefs of Elementary Education

The Department of Education (DepEd) through the Bureau of Elementary Education (BEE) in cooperation with the National Association of Chiefs and Assistant Chiefs of Elementary Education (NACACEE) will hold its 56th National Conference on November 14-18, 2011. This will be held at the Farm Resort, Carpenter Hill, Koronadal City with Region XII as the host region. With the theme "Transforming Education Through the Enhanced K to 12 Curriculum," the conference aims to:

1. update the participants on the status of the K to 12 Curriculum;
2. recommend policies in support to K to 12 Curriculum implementation;
3. define the roles and functions of the regions, divisions and schools in the implementation of the K to 12 Curriculum; and
4. update the participants on the status of implementation of elementary programs and projects, and discuss issues and actions/solutions taken.
   

The participants to this conference are the thirty four (34) Chiefs and Assistant Chiefs of Elementary Education Divisions (EED) of the regions and the BEE Director III, and selected Education Program Specialists (EPSs). Please see Enclosure No. 1 for the List of Participants and Enclosure No. 2 for the Program of Activities.

Attendance to this activity is on official business. A registration fee of Seven Thousand Pesos (PhP7,000.00) shall be charged to each participant to cover expenses for board and lodging, conference materials, and other related expenses. Travelling expenses and registration fee of BEE participants shall be charged to the BEE Project Funds while those of the field participants shall be charged to local funds subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

The participants are required to bring their highlights of accomplishments of elementary programs and projects using the form found in Enclosure No. 3. For consolidation, please submit the reports to the Staff Develoipment Division (SDD)-BEE, 2F Bonifacio Bldg., DepEd Complex, Meralco Avenue, Pasig City or through e-mail address: bee sddcryahoo.com on or before October 21, 2011.
