2012 National Folk Dance Workshop

The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) and the Philippine Folk Dance Society (PFDS) will conduct the 2012 National Folk Dance Workshop for Teachers on May 14-18, 2012 at the Batangas City Convention Center, Batangas City. This 2012 National Folk Dance Workshop aims to:

1. upgrade the teacher-participants’ knowledge, understanding and skills in the teaching of folk dance;
2. revive the best works of the dance researchers from the regions, and pay tribute to their contributions in the preservation of folk dance in the country, and the promotion of Arts Education among the youth;
3. provide the teachers, dance directors and choreographers with resource materials on dance; and
4. help address the problems and concerns of folk dance teachers and trainors.
   

The participants to this activity are teachers at all levels, dance directors and choreographers.

Each participant shall be charged a registration fee of Three Thousand Pesos (PhP3,000.00) to cover expenses for workshop materials, supplies and kits, honoraria for speakers, resource persons, performing groups, tickets to evening shows and other incidental expenses.
