Unhappy Client - Consumer Rights Violated

Online purchase of a video and photo coverage for a discounted price through cashcashpinoy under vanity marketing.
To all my friends, mommies and bloggers out there, I am writing to warn and share my experience to all of you and learn from my mistake. 

I am a mother of two wherein my 1st born celebrated her 7th birthday last July. I am currently based in Dubai and so I did all the preparations online and coordinated with my sister in the Philippines by phone or by skype only.

And so my sister informed me to look for some special packages online for photo and video coverage. She was able to give me the link which is cashcashpinoy.com, the marketer is Vanity Marketing and they are offering a big discount for a video and photo coverage.

In other words, I avail the package for a discounted rate only. The package includes 1 person to cover the video and 1 person for the photo coverage. Also, part of the package was a copy of the video and photos in DVD format and 150 edited photographs which I think during that time is a great deal! I purchased the package sometime around May for my event on July.

End of June came, we made a follow up and reminder to the marketer (Vanity Marketing) and spoke with the Manager Karen Reyes and we were reassured that everything is in order and their people will be there as per scheduled. 

During the event itself, my sister made three calls to them to ask where they were because obviously they were late. They said they were stuck in a traffic jam where my other suppliers were also stuck in the same traffic but they were able to come on time.

So, they came in 1hr and 15mins later and I was expecting that they bring along some spot lights for the video and all but what they have were just 2 SLR’s, one for the video person and one for the photographer. I was thinking technology can handle the party by just 2 Slr’s. I was thinking that they were professionals.

The party ended and they said everything is well and they were not able to show some shots because they ran out of battery (They didn’t even have extra!).

So I let it pass and I was promised that they will deliver the copies in 2 weeks.

Two weeks past, my sister made follow ups again several times and finally after 40days of waiting, they were delivered to our house. Guess what?

The package consists of only the DVD copy of the party and CD copy of the pictures, there are no 150 edited photographs (nothing, nada!) as per the package I availed.

We looked at the pictures and what we saw were ugly pictures taken everywhere, just to say that they were taken, so unprofessional and they were just compiled in a CD just like that, they did not even dare to arrange the pictures. Also, if you can see the video,darn I was so devastated, I was expecting a very exciting and memorable video of the event but still so disappointing and appalling. The highlights of the party was not covered entirely, it was recorded by an amateur and unprofessional guy!

After several texts, emails and call attempts (they never answered), Vanity Marketing never replied to us.

What I did, I emailed the Video guy whose name is Alvin Reyes, I track him through his FB (bino photography and Think Art Design) At first, he answered and admitted that the pictures were crappy and he explained that the request from the marketer (Vanity Marketing) was such a short notice they were not prepared.

He even offered us a photoshoot just to amend with us. I declined the offer and I just requested that a hard copy of the pictures be send to us plus edited CD of the pics  in an arranged manner.

And so Alvin said that he won’t be able to send us the pictures as they are not in the package. And he was paid very less amount on the package. I told him that that’s no reason for the pictures to be all crappy and the video looked like it was taken by an amateur.

He said that it was not his fault and I have to complain to Vanity Marketing or to cashcashpinoy which I already did. 

After throwing tedious emails back and forth and receiving negative replies from Alvin (Bino photography and Think Art Design Owner) giving me nothing but heartache and disappointments, I stopped and write this blog instead.

Overall, as per this very bad incident, this is to warn you not to trust these people as they were very disappointing. My consumer rights has been violated!

The people that I hired to make my daughter’s party memorable were the biggest mistake I made. Do not in any way, hire or avail even if they are promos or a regular package offer from VANITY MARKETING, BINO PHOTOGRAPHY and THINK ART DESIGN because they are under one management under Alvin Reyes and Karen Reyes.

Alvin was claiming that Vanity and Bino Photography are two different entity. Do not trust what they say, they are NOT reliable!! They are under one roof, they have the same address.

i also had the same experience

i have availed of their service last july for my sister's 18 party. until now i haven't received the video coverage. Plus the pictures taken during that day were below standard. very ugly shots, super blurry, unclassy. The low price of their service cannot compensate for the stress that they are giving me today. I've been calling them through landline and cellphone their not picking up. Seems like they are hiding. There are actually others that have availed of their services and wasn't happy about it.
Also, the photobooth is a big failure! the layout artist doesn't even know how to layout properly (ako pa naglayout ng sarili kong design). And i keep on following up tapos on the day of the event lang nya nagawa yung mismong layout. The photo papers were of poor quality as well. And they arrived 1hour late on the day of the event. Super fail talaga.
