Shamcey Supsup

Shamcey Supsup (born on May 16, 1986), is a Filipino who won and crowned as the Bb. Pilipinas Universe 2011 on April 10, 2011. She represented the Philippines in the Miss Universe 2011 beauty pageant in Sao Paulo, Brazil on September 12, 2011.

Shamcey (Shamcey Gorea Supsup) was born in Iligan City, Philippines. She lives in General Santos City.

Shamcey graduated as a Salutatorian from Makati High School. In college, she took up Architecture and graduated as Magna Cum Laude from University of the Philippines (UP).

She ranked No. 1 Top Notcher in the Philippine Architectural Board Examination 2010 with a grade of 86.60 percent.

Shamcey joined the Bb. Pilipinas 2011. The final event and the coronation night was held at the Araneta Coliseum. She won and crowned as the Bb. Pilipinas Universe 2011 on April 10, 2011. She also bagged the following awards:

• Binibining Pilipinas 2011-Miss Talent
• Binibining Pilipinas 2011-Miss Cream Silk
• Binibining Pilipinas 2011-Miss Philippines Airlines

During the question and answer (Q&A) portion, Shamcey Supsup was asked, "What worthy of cause do you identify yourself with and why?" She answered, "I think the one worthy cause I can identify myself with is education. Because I believe education is something that cannot be taken away from you. You can have money, you can have fame, but in the end, it can be taken from you. But education will always be there to help you."

In September 12, 2011, Shamcey Supsup represented the Philippines in the Miss Universe 2011 beauty pageant in Sao Paulo, Brazil. In the final result of the competition, Shamcey got the 3rd runner up place.

During the question and answer portion, American actress Vivica Fox asked Shamcey Supsup, "Would you change your religious beliefs to marry the person that you love? Why or why not?”

Shamcey simply answered, "If I would have to change my religious beliefs, I would not marry the person that I love. Because the first person that I love is God, who created me and I have my faith, my principles and this is what makes me who I am and if that person loves me he should love my God too. Thank you.””
