Ikano Bank launches Skipp iPhone application

Ikano Bank is launching an iPhone app in collaboration with other IKEA, Stadium and Hemtex. The app collects customer card in the handset and is the first step to being able to pay by phone directly at the store.
With the app, which has been named Skipp, one can easily and instantly get an overview of all offers, keep track of the latest purchases and how much you have shopped for a total and how much money is left. There is also a mapping feature that allows you to easily find the connected chain stores all over Sweden.

Many Swedes are members of different customer clubs, and eventually it becomes difficult to keep track of and use all the good deals and rewards you get from these cards, says Magdalena Walther at Ikano Bank. Most people recognize themselves in that one too often forgets the various offers and discounts at home on the kitchen table and then not being exploited. Here, the app actually do some good.

Seven store cards with 1.1 million members are present at the launch and Ikano Bank expects to gradually establish more retail chains to the app and also launch a version for Android in the fall. Connected cards today is IKEA Shopping, Stadium, Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, Shell MasterCard and Hemtex which together have 850 stores across Sweden. Ikano Bank app has attracted considerable interest among the chain stores that you have contacted

We are confident that the wallet, and even the bank is about to move into the cell phone and Skipp, we are at the beginning of the development. We will continue to develop Skipp with more smart features and the ability to pay, says Magdalena Walther.
