JoelVasquez, what kind of fishes can be cultured with aquaponics?
In principle, any fresh water fish - if we work with plants. However, Tilapia is a very good choice for efficiency and productivity because of its survivability. Above all it almost is eay to feed with almost anything making it versatile and easy to sustain.
You can slowly, slowly convert a salt water fish to fresh water fish as well...very slowlyAdded (20-May-2012, 6:36 AM)

“Natural” misused and abused, if the laboratory can identify what is GMO from non-GMO, can we also make our body believe that what is “unnatural” can be absorbed as well and function as a real-substitute. Real “Natural” processes born or manufactured by nature that was engineered by nature thousands of years is something we cannot just “copy-paste-edit” to make it look like the natural way. After editing, GMO experts start paste-replicating what has been copied. Noble ideas indeed, we have to find ways to feed the many-growing population, but not when the pattern shows destruction and potential collapse of the human race. Life can only come from life itself, if we tamper with life giving food, we tamper with ourselves, our future and those beyond us. Man posing the greatest threat against humanity.
