waterpump replaced but coolant light stays on

waterpump replaced but coolant light stays on When the waterpump was replaced the check coolant light will not go off on the dash. Is there a reset button somewhere?

sheila, of course, first thing to check is that you do have enough coolant in the reservoir. If you do, there is the possibility that the coolant sensor is faulty. It is located at the coolant reservoir. Unplug the wires going to it and use a paperclip to jump the wires. If your light turns on (or vice versa), you know it is the switch. You can also disconnect the battery form your vehicle (do it for an hour or so) and it should reset all codes. If the light comes back on, you know it is the switch. But make sure you have enough coolant and no leak anywhere :-) Hope this helps, good luck
