TV turns on and off repeatedly
TV is a 70” Vizio E70-E3. A friend used to have this tv in her house and they got a new tv because of this issue. I figured I could deal with it because it rarely happened and unplugging it and plugging it back in fixed the issue in the moment. She lost the remote and never replaced it so I do not have a remote. When she had the tv in her home, they turned off the Xbox then used the power button on the back of the tv. Sometimes while watching tv it would stop working then turn off, turn itself back on to flash the triangle/downward arrow logo and after a few seconds go black and shut itself off. As I said unplug and plug it back in, and it fixed the issue. So I take it home, plug it in, it works fine, and I try to set up the smart cast on my phone, but due to the internet in my apartment not being set up til the next day, it couldn’t connect. That night and the next day I had no issue with it turning itself on and off, it just stayed off. Got the internet set up, tried the smartcast and and it worked fine. I tried playing something on Netflix and no audio. Went into settings in the app to see if the speakers were turned off and said It was connected to the sound bar that they had, but I don’t. I turned the audio off thinking it would reset to the tv speakers and tried to select ‘On’ for audio but it kept showing nothing and not turning on. I figured since all the devices she had set up to the tv were still the only options, I could do a factory reset on the tv and it would default everything and I could set my own stuff up.
