"If it is the steering wheel shaking, it is most likely a front brake issue. You can often visually see through the wheels to see the pads, but there may not be much you can see. A shaking usuaully indicates an out of round or thickness variation condition with the rotors. Special measurement tools are necessary to check this, but many times pad and rotor replacement is feasible since it is often needed by this point anyways.

If after replacing the pads and rotors you still have this issue, it is recommended to take it to a professional for further diagnosis.
