I have a 2004 3.9 40th anniversary edition Manuel.. So my car did the same thing.. I drove it shut it off and No Crank No Start.. I replaced the batterythe starter still nothing.. This went on for a weekI was bound and determined to get that car fixed.. Noone wanted to hear what I was saying..So I went to my cousin told him what I thought was wrong he checked it still Nothing..The next day I just new that was the problem my car drove fine then all the sudden nothing NO Crank No Start.. To make a long Story Short I found the problem, the clutch has a Safety Switch on it, mine had worked it's way loose it wasnt even bad… So I bought a battery and starter that I was told was no good.. And it was the safety switch on the clutch.. So,if you drive a Manuel and ever have a NO CRANK NO Start Issue check that switch before you go out and buy parts that you might not need…

You should check first if there is any related recall for your model: https://www.recallslist.com/ford/mustang... - as there were 7 problems found for this year. Maybe your dealer could solve this free of charge if recall program still active.
