Xbox One Controller only works when plugged in

My Xbox One Controller will only work if it's plugged into a power source. It doesn't matter how many times I change the batteries it won't turn on it unless it is plugged into the Xbox. Wanted to know if there was a fix for it or if it is something that I am just going to have to deal with.

"If you continue having issues turning on your Xbox One Wireless Controller, check out this Xbox One Wireless Controller Won't Turn On Problem Page.

Disassemble it and reassemble it to better secure connections using this guide:

Xbox One Wireless Controller Top Motherboard Replacement

If that doesn't fix it, than replacing the top motherboard should.

Make sure your batteries are both putting out at least 1.5v.

Hope this helps!"

None of these solutions are okay. I didn't just recently purchase an xbox1 to take the controller apart and fix/replace the circuit board..

Does anyone know where i can make both my afterglow xbox series x controller work alongside my wireless xbox one controller as a second player on my windows 10 pc? In programs where I have to manually map buttons like say the Dolphin emulator only one controller responds while the other is either locked out or unrecognized. Honestly, whatever happened to just plugging crap in? I never knew controllers required profiles.
