Why is my paper jamming every time?

Why is my paper jamming every time?

It seems like the paper is entering the printer unevenly because every time I try to print, one side if the paper will get jammed. There is nothing stuck in the printer to make it do that. Other than the paper jamming, the printer seems to be working just fine.

"Hi,

You need to check that the paperfeed rollers in your printer are clean. If they are not the paper feed may be uneven and jambs may occur.

As you do not state the model number of your printer, here are generic instructions on how to perform a paperfeed clean for a Canon printer

If the instructions do not match your printer, consult your printer's User Guide."

"Fixed! ( for me).

As is stated normally this is the rollers. However I tried roller cleaning on my G4210 to no avail.

I noticed that I could not even force paper through the left hand side, which made me think something was blocking it.

So I folded a piece of paper long ways so it was sturdy but would fit through the right side. Then I carefully 'flossed"" my way over to the left side and ""Ping"" out comes a push-pin that was blocking the paper! Funny thing is it was not visible at all from any view."

I had a similar problem with as Pixma TS8050. Took a damp cotton bud and tissues to clean all the rollers at the back, under the cover. It now does not jam on 2-sided printing.

My MG8220 was jamming if fed from the cassette, or the rear tray. I tried everything! But then decided to REALLY clean EVERYTHING in the paper path. The rear rollers, the rollers behind the ink cartridges. which I think was the culprit. I took a q-Tip and simple green cleaner and scrubbed and scrubbed those rollers. I discovered they were in fact not black! They are grey! There is also a metal bar below the rollers that has a somewhat gritty surface. I am guessing to aid in paper moving through. I cleaned it also. After I was satisfied it was SPOTLESS, I fired it up and printed perfectly from cassette or rear tray! YEAH!

It is the printer paper sensor switch that jams located on the right hand side of the two rollers when viewed from the paper tray with out any paper in the tray ,tried to no avail to find out any solution .Firmware and Drivers update so must be the sensor or software within the printer fault .Bad design or perhaps in built on purpose .
