power surged and then the e2 f2 code started flashing

My dishwasher is only about a year and a half old. We had a bad storm yesterday...my power surged and then the e2 f2 code started flashing. Did the reset, took the door off and checked connections...still flashing. Do I randomly start buying parts? How do I check to see if it’s something I can fix? I am handy, but appliances are new territory for me. All info. is appreciated.

"In cases like this, the control module has been effected. This can be as simple as an open internal fuse or more complicated like a smoked controller IC. In either case, knowing the exact make and model is critical. Please update this with the make and model. Also, a Google search of the model number and the keyword “parts” should get you to a site to check for parts availability. If you can post a picture of the control module, we may be able to see a damaged part that can be replaced as a start.
