Note 4 standby battery is terrible

Note 4 standby battery is terrible

I have had my Galaxy Note 4 for several months now, and since the lollipop update the standby battery life has been atrocious, and getting worse evert day. I can't remember the last time I made it through a day without the phone dying, even when I barely use it. I don't have any rouge applications, and I have cleared system cache. I have easily 8-20% drain every hour, (when the device is not in use). It is almost always warm, and when looking at my battery statistics "android OS" and "android system" seem to be the main culprits. Also when looking at battery stats, it looks like the phone is "awake" all the time. Any help or tips from anyone would be GREATLY APPRECIATED. Thanks.

"Master Reset. Do a format via Recovery Mode.

To Enter Recovery Mode.

1. Turn off your device

2. Hold Volume Up + Home + Power until on the top left corner of your screen displays blue text

3. Format via Recovery

This will reset your device back to factory settings and hopefully flush out the culprit draining your battery life."

"Hello. my note 4 began to lose load atrociously one day.

the solution may not be the best but I found that was due to two reasons.

1. the removable memory card was very crowded: it started to overheat the equipment and felt a burning smell, the battery was discharged in less than 1 hour. once vacated the memory card, the phone returned to normal.

2. The battery does not fit: this seems to me the worst of all situations because nobody expect your note 4 discharge the battery because of ""slightly moves"" from its initial position. I had to use tape to ""paste"" the battery to stop it and never more happened.

so far my hard batery load between 1 to 2 days depending on how i use it. a normal use gives me to recharge every 2 days."
