KitchenAid Professional 600 mixer not turning on?

KitchenAid Professional 600 mixer not turning on? Every time I try to turn on my KitchenAid mixer nothing happens. I've tried unplugging and plugging it back in but nothing happens. I even checked to see if it was a faulty outlet but the outlet works fine. Help!
