it beeped and all lights went off.

Whirlpool W10537650 newer version Stainless Steel. We tried tripping the breaker but my cycle will wash but not dry. The first time it says clean but when I open the door there is still blue soap on the inside and it’s all wet. Smells dirty still. Run it a second time. It smells better no blue soap but still very wet. I did the “ heat dry -normal- heat dry- normal” buttons and closed door. It turned off- no lights at all just off. I opened the door and nothing lit up no lights on at all. So then I tried the “ 123123123 “ and closed the door. It was blinking all kinds of crazy stuff! I could definitely see some E1or E7 errors coming up and then it started a diagnostic cycle I guess. During the cycle the only lights that were on was 1hour wash light and hitemp wash light and start light. Nothing displayed on the number display. No outside door light on either. About 10 mins later it beeped and all lights went off. Opened the door and it feel hot with steam so I guess my heating element is not broken.

"An F1E7 error code is the heating circuit. Check the element terminal for loose or damaged wires. Test the element ohms with a multimeter. Check the thermostat mounted to the bottom of the tub, underneath and behind the kick plate.

Do these tests with the breaker OFF.

If all the wiring looks good and the ohms test good (both should have continuity/resistance I believe the element should have about 18ohms) then I would check to make sure it’s filling with water as it should

you mentioned that it had soap in it after it was done. Either it is filling enough with hot, 120*f, water or it isn’t washing-spray arms aren’t turning or the drain hose under the sink doesn’t loop up then down before it attaches to the home drain pipe or disposal.

Withou the drain line looping up then down, the water drain in the sink can drain into the dishwasher. This water will cause a stinky odor. Dishes in d/w usually don’t stink unless left in there without being rinsed off first.

A reason for it to seem like it’s not drying is the RinseAid dispenser might be empty. The dishes will be wet if no RinseAid is used. A small bottle added to dispenser lasts for 3-6 months depending on how often it’s used.

Ith the error codes you provided along with the symptoms, this is my suggestions for your your dishwasher."
