How does one replace glass on a Motorola Maxx XT1080 smartphone?

How does one replace the touchscreen glass only (i.e. without also removing the LCD), on a Motorola Droid (Maxx) XT1080(M) smartphone? Thanks!

heat and time and be careful there is a high chance of damaging the LCD its better to replace both at the same time because they are held together with loca it is far less risky to use a lcd/digitizer combo im not saying this is the cheep way but its the safer way.

"Most of what you are looking for in the way of How To is posted here:

Sadly, they refer to other guides (like YouTube) for instructions on how to use LOCA adhesive to attach the glass to the LCD.

And your lucky I pointed you in the right direction. You're kind of a dick."
