Engine dose not fire up in reverse, in gas cart.

Engine dose not fire up in reverse, in gas cart. i have a 25 year old golf cart and reverse went out. when the knob is turned to reverse , the engine dose not even attempt to engage. it can go forward tho. No issues in neutral either.

"this happened to me also, its electrical problem mine ended up fixing its self but i know what it was, but you have the same year as mine it might an ezgo so i can help you.

you need to take the metal plate off the back sand off the connection reconnect it, if the reverse sound doesn't go off then it could just be a broken switch.
