Calculator Isn't Charging, Cable seems to work however.

For the record, I’m not using the original power supply that came with the calculator to charge, however it should do fine. (1A 5V) When I plug the cord into the calculator, the red light appears, then the calculator turns on. The red light starts flashing. The calculator does not seem to acknowledge the charging. The strange thing was that when I removed the battery, the light just stayed green, but the calculator wouldn’t turn on, so the cable is working, right? When I hit the reset switch, the red light becomes solid, but as soon as I let go, back to blinking. Any advice would be helpful, thanks.

"Just to clear one thing up, the calculator can not run just off of the cable. It is expected behavior that when you remove the battery and just plug the cable in that the light turns green. :)

I Looked into the flashing red light and I think means you have an improper power source. My best guess is your power brick is faulty. Can you try a different power brick or connecting the calculator to your computer and see if it will properly charge?

You might be able to get more information about this by running a self-test.
